SafeShores
Lake Erie Coastal Water Quality Monitor
Designed & Developed by
Joshua Bighouse
SafeShores was born out of a simple need โ€” during cross country training, my teammates and I would cool off in Lake Erie after runs, but we had no easy way to know if the water was safe. This app pulls real-time data from EPA, NOAA, and Ohio state sources so beachgoers can check conditions before getting in.
